Students use shapes in Microsoft Word 2007 to create eggs and ornaments.
Overview
In the 7th grade computer class,
students will continue to learn how to use all the tools necessary to create
reports…using fonts and font styles, setting tabs, using text alignment, and creating
numbered and bulleted lists.
Students will be reinforcing skills taught in 6th grade such as how to edit their work and use the spell check and grammar check functions in Microsoft Word 2007. Students will also learn how to add and manipulate graphics into Word documents.
Students will continue to reinforce their knowledge of our current operating system, Microsoft Windows XP, and proper desktop publishing procedures using Microsoft Publisher 2007.
Microsoft Excel 2007 will be used to show students how to make charts and graphs.
Students will be instructed on online etiquette and cyber-bullying.
Students will also review keyboarding skills at the beginning of the marking period.
Grades: Assignments and worksheets are graded on a scale of 0 to 10. Students are required to answer a daily Learning Essential Question.
For every 4 LEQs students will receive a grade from 0 to 4 points.
All assignments, worksheets, and LEQ sheets are due by the last day of the marking period.

There are also forms, commonly called score cards, that students will use in class. Also included is a copy of the content map, like a road map, of that lists the concepts, Learning Essential Questions, and vocabulary for the classes.

Elective
Review/Rate
Googlchrome Apps – Students will download Google apps of their choosing, will
use them, and then will write a 5-paragraph essay on each of those apps
describing the app, if they liked/disliked it, if/how they would make it
different, who would benefit from the app, etc. Students may present their
findings to the class.
